Russell Rieder is the Executive Director for Independence for the Blind (IB). Russell’s role at IB is to direct and manage the daily operations for the agency. Russell has extensive experience in managing not for profit agencies ranging from Hospice Care to World Class Retirement Communities.
Russell has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources from Florida Gulf Coast University. Russell has received many accolades ranging from a Lifetime Achievement to Manager of the Year Awards. Russell is actively involved with several agencies that assist the blind and visually impaired and serves on the Board of Directors for The Lion’s Club and Florida Association of Agencies Serving the Blind.
