CURRENT PROJECTS

Project BRAILLE

The goal of Project BRAILLE is to increase Braille literacy among blind and visually impaired individuals in Northwest Florida.  IB West will create the “Library of Hope” which will contain books, magazines, and other materials for blind and visually impaired individuals in accessible formats such as Braille or large print.  IB West will also purchase a Braille embosser to enable us to print materials in Braille.

·     Susan Campbell Jewelry is partnering with us by donating 30% of the total sales price of each Braille Charm to Project BRAILLE.

·     International Paper has donated $3,500 to Project BRAILLE.

·     The Escambia County Early Learning Coalition donated $1,555 to Project BRAILLE.

We still need $7,000 to reach our goal!  If you are interested in helping, contact Alicia Hefty.

 Clear Vision for the Future

The goal of Clear Vision for the Future is to strengthen career development for the blind and visually impaired of Northwest Florida through improved assistive technology education and increased public awareness of individuals with visual disabilities.

If you are a business interested in providing internships and job shadowing opportunities, please contact us at 850-477-2663.
