Alicia Hefty
Alicia Hefty is the Fundraising and Volunteer Coordinator for Independence for the Blind. She handles all public relations, marketing, and fundraising activities for the organization, in addition to recruiting new volunteers. Ms. Hefty is a national member of the West Florida Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and served as the VP of Communications and Public Relations on the board in 2009. Alicia is a native of the big city of Milton, Fl, and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations from the University of West Florida. She is currently working on her Master’s in Blind Rehabilitation, Orientation and Mobility. In her free time Alicia enjoys relaxing with her # 1 fan, her son, as well as swimming, reading, going to the beach or park with her son, shopping, painting, and spending time with family and friends.
